About Tanner
Founder, Sokka
You weren't meant to
figure it all out alone.
I learned this after spending years testing marketing tools, building systems, and watching local business owners struggle with technology that should make their lives easier - not harder.
Your biggest challenges - getting more customers, managing reviews, running ads that work - they're not meant to be solo journeys.
That's why I built Sokka. To give massage therapists, salon owners, contractors, and every other local service business the tools they actually need, without the complexity they don't.
Because here's what I've discovered: when you have the right tools, when you connect with people who've solved the same problems, when you stop trying to become a marketing expert on top of running your business - that's when real growth happens.
Not just for you. For your customers, your family, your community.
My background spans marketing, sales, and technology - I've been self-employed for most of the past decade.
I've run a done-for-you marketing agency, consulted with seven-figure companies and cryptocurrency projects, and coached everyone from entrepreneurs to high school lacrosse teams. I've invested close to six figures in knowledge, tools, and training to get better at what I do.
But the most important testing ground? My wife's nail art business. She runs her entire operation with the tools I've collected in Sokka. If it doesn't work for her, I don't recommend it to you.
But here's what matters more: finding the right solution for you.
I started with reviews because every business needs them. They increase conversions, build trust, and give you content to use everywhere. After years of testing platforms, I found one that actually works for local businesses - not just enterprise companies with dedicated marketing teams.
The other tools in Sokka? Same story. I tested them, used them, broke them, and figured out what works. Now I'm making them available at prices that don't require a corporate budget.
I'm based just south of Raleigh in Holly Springs, North Carolina. I'm a husband of 12 years, father of four, and I believe business success shouldn't require a tech degree or a marketing agency on retainer.
Your success story doesn't have to be a one-person show. Let's change that together.
